I went to Old Town this morning for a quick walkabout but found storm clouds brewing despite the early hour. I walked along the Potomac for a short while until the rain started coming down. Many of the trees along the banks are now gone…I was surprised. The look of the place is very different. Yes, open is nice but the trees along the bank were, well, comfortable. This is a shot from the docks looking at the Wilson bridge. I know the riverfront will change with the addition of two new hotels, probably lots of night spots, etc., etc., etc. Ah, nostalgia, what a complicated web you weave.
