Still cleaning out photos and finding all sorts of things. I'm not really a bird photographer...it's not because I don't want to be one, it's just that I don't think I can afford the really long lenses. And...probably most importantly, I don't have the patience or the knees to do the hobby the justice it deserves. However comma. Once, seven years ago, I did rent a long lens, and, I was using an APS camera so the lens seemed longer. This shot of a finch was taken in the backyard of my father-in-law's house in Dayton, OH. The shot was taken on October 18, 2009...the sun was setting. Life was getting different for all of us, we'd just buried Diane's father. Late that afternoon this little bird flew onto a dead tree and displaced all the sparrows. Life goes on it seemed to say. All is well.
